In the summer of 2022, April and I met up for the first time and improvised together over the course of 3 seperate days/sessions. Using the limitations of a home studio to our advantage, we ran electric guitar through a Korg Minilogue synth's audio in, taking turns between recordings to switch instruments. Ambient music has always been an influence for me, and this EP expands on that to a full release as well as combining April's own sound and style. Notably, the EP was also a global effort - April is based in Karachi (Pakistan), the EP itself was recorded in London, and was mixed largely on my laptop while in the US. Over the course of July and August, I edited, reassembled and layered the hour or so of material we created into this EP. It is an honour to have met up and improvised with April, and I hope this 18 minute set of warm, cathartic and enveloping lo-fi ambient pieces serves as a good document of that.

This EP is the culmination of multiple points of inspiration for Jackie and I. Things like maturation, travelling across the world, long distance relationships and the weird abstract emotions that fill our heads. None of these themes were really planned, they just happened to be on our minds as we recorded our parts. As we didn’t write anything, what came out of those recordings felt like we were letting our emotions out in the most natural way. Major hats-off to Jackie for everything, especially for introducing me to their lovely Telecaster and Minilogue. I literally bought one for myself after recording my synth parts on here.
